I’m running for Sheriff of Wasatch County because I believe our community deserves a department built on trust, professionalism, and accountability. With over 35 years of combined experience in law enforcement and private enterprise, I bring a proven record of leadership, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to public service.

As a business owner, I managed multi-million-dollar operations and learned the importance of fiscal responsibility—how to do more with less, without compromising quality or safety. I understand that every dollar matters, and that the strength of any organization lies in its people. My job as a leader has always been to support the team, remove obstacles, and make sure everyone has what they need to succeed.

In law enforcement, I’ve served in patrol, major crimes investigations, narcotics, community outreach, and tactical operations as a SWAT officer. I’ve led teams through high-risk operations and complex investigations, earning a reputation as a relentless investigator and a steady, effective leader. I’ve chosen to stay in the field—not behind a desk—because I believe leadership is earned through action, not rank.

At the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the finest professionals in the state. From the County Attorney’s Office to our deputies, I’ve seen firsthand what quiet professionalism looks like—men and women who show up every day to protect their neighbors with integrity and grit. That’s the culture I want to bring to Wasatch County.

I’ve also served on multiple regional and state-level boards and committees, helping shape policy and strengthen interagency collaboration. These roles have expanded my understanding of how to build safer communities through smart, transparent leadership.

Wasatch County is growing, and with that growth comes new challenges. We need a Sheriff who understands the complexities of modern law enforcement, who can rebuild fractured partnerships, and who will prioritize both public safety and constitutional integrity. I’m ready to lead that effort—with humility, experience, and a clear vision for the future.

I’m not running for a title. I’m running to serve. To restore trust. To protect our families. And to ensure that every resident of Wasatch County feels safe, heard, and respected.
